Hypnosis is the path to mind/body integration and discovering the richness of your inner world. The quality of your subjective inner experience is largely determined by what you tell yourself about yourself and the world around you. Your thoughts have the potential to generate symptoms or to generate healthy alternatives. The ability to reprogram emotional attitudes and reactions and develop broader perspectives is a natural talent to be awakened in all of us.
With hypnosis, we use trance and suggestion to change unwanted habits or replace them with more wholesome alternatives aligned with your aspirations and values. While in a hypnotic state, you are less aware of distractions and better able to focus on and absorb those thoughts and ideas that have special meaning for you.
Hypnosis is an ancient healing practice now supported by a significant body of medical and psychological research to treat a variety of conditions including:
chronic pain,
improving surgical outcomes
changing unwanted habits like smoking and emotional eating,
dealing with stress and anxiety,
improving self-confidence and motivation, and
enhancing sports and artistic performance.
Hypnosis can be a stand alone modality or used to enhance the effectiveness of other treatment approaches. I also teach self-hypnosis so clients can use these same skills on their own.
